Keep it low-stakes: let them pass and spin again. Because the pick is visibly random, no one reads anything into a re-spin, and reluctant students often surprise themselves once chosen.

How do I spread volunteering evenly?

Turn on "No repeats" so the wheel draws every student once before repeating — over a week, everyone volunteers a fair share.

Can I exclude a few students today?

Yes — delete their names from the wheel for now and add them back later. The wheel only draws from who's on it.
