Wheel of Names

A name wheel is the fastest way to make a draw feel fair: everyone sees the same list, the same spin, and the same result. Paste your names, spin, and the winner is announced with a full history of every previous draw.

How to use the wheel of names

    1. Paste your list into the entries panel — one name per line.
    2. Turn on “Remove winner” if each person should only be drawn once.
    3. Press Spin. The winner appears with the full draw history beneath it.
    4. Share the link to give everyone the exact same wheel.

    Wheel of Names questions

How many names can the wheel hold?

Several hundred. Past roughly 60 names the labels get too small to read on the wheel itself, so the winner is announced in large type and kept in the history list instead.

Can I stop the same name winning twice?

Yes, in two ways. “Remove winner” deletes the name after it wins, and “No repeats” keeps every name on the wheel but won't draw anyone a second time until everyone has been drawn once.

    Is the draw genuinely random?

Yes. The winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts, weighted by slice size, so the spin you watch always matches the result.
