Percentage Practice Wheel
Percentages get easy once students own a few anchors — 10%, then 5%, then 1% — and build the rest from them. These questions use friendly numbers so the method shows through. Spin, find the percentage, and explain the shortcut.

How to use the percentage practice
- Spin for a question and ask for the mental method, not just the answer.
- Teach the anchors first: 10%, then 5%, then 1%.
- Edit in real-world percentages like sale discounts to apply it.
Percentage Practice questions
What's the quickest mental method?
Find 10% by dividing by ten, then build up or down: 5% is half of that, 1% is a tenth of it. Most of these questions fall out of those anchors.
Can I use real-life examples?
Yes — swap in shop discounts, tips, or test scores as percentages so students see where the skill is used.
